As a kid, I was always experimenting with my handwriting, changing it every month and trying out new fonts to make my own. I loved to write in cursive and preferred writing by hand over typing. This early fascination evolved into a deep love for writing as an art form. By seventh grade, I even asked Santa for calligraphy classes for Christmas. Santa came through, and I had the opportunity to study Copperplate Calligraphy with Suzanne Cunningham.

That weekend of classes with Suzanne was transformative. It not only honed my calligraphy skills but also deepened my passion for art. Calligraphy requires patience and practice, and since then, I’ve continued to refine my craft—practicing my signature, writing out alphabets, and addressing envelopes. My appreciation for the beauty of ornate, flowing letters on paper has only grown over the years.
